- JioPhone 2 is launched on the 41st annual general meeting of Reliance Industries
- The sale of JioPhone 2 will start from August 15 at a starting price of Rs 2,999.
- “We have more than 25 million JioPhone users in India. We are now taking the JioPhone to the next level, with added capabilities and functionalities,” said RIL’s Chairman & Managing Director Mukesh D Ambani at the company’s annual general meeting in Mumbai.
- The JioPhone 2 has 512Mb of Ram ,4GB of ROM
- It supports sdcard upto 128 GB
- It has a 2MegaPixel rear camera and VGA front camera
- It also supports dual-SIM, LTE, and VoLTE, VoWi-Fi. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports FM, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC
- Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp are also supported
- But if you are already an owner of the JioPhone, then you can upgrade to JioPhone 2 in just Rs 501 starting from July 21
- Registration for fixed line broadband service will begin from August 15
